“Stromboli” (USA): a type of turnover filled with various cheeses, Italian meats such as salami, capicola and bresaola or vegetables. The dough is Italian bread dough.

The dicotomy gelato / ice cream (USA): “gelato is Italy’s regional variant of ice cream” (?!).
