The end

January 4, 2013

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I’ll never look into your eyes… again

Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need… of some… stranger’s hand
In a… desperate land

Lost in a Roman… wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane
All the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain, yeah

There’s danger on the edge of town
Ride the King’s highway, baby
Weird scenes inside the gold mine
Ride the highway west, baby

Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, baby
The snake is long, seven miles
Ride the snake… he’s old, and his skin is cold

The west is the best
The west is the best
Get here, and we’ll do the rest

The blue bus is callin’ us
The blue bus is callin’ us
Driver, where you taken’ us

The killer awoke before dawn, he put his boots on
He took a face from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall
He went into the room where his sister lived, and… then he
Paid a visit to his brother, and then he
He walked on down the hall, and
And he came to a door… and he looked inside
Father, yes son, I want to kill you
Mother… I want to… fuck you

C’mon baby, take a chance with us
C’mon baby, take a chance with us
C’mon baby, take a chance with us
And meet me at the back of the blue bus
Doin’ a blue rock
On a blue bus
Doin’ a blue rock
C’mon, yeah

Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

It hurts to set you free
But you’ll never follow me
The end of laughter and soft lies
The end of nights we tried to die

This is the end

The bridge

November 4, 2012

« Well I’m goin’ down to the bridge
at the end of the road
and I’m gonna stare down into the waters
and if you see me goin’ down
to the bridge at the end
you will know I’m looking to be free
and if you see me goin’ down to the bridge at the end
and you see me staring down into the waters
well if you see me going down to the bridge at the end
you will know I ain’t coming back no more
and I ain’t gonna be taking no one with me, oh no.
I’m gonna stare down into the waters
and I’m gonna sit down on the banks of the river
Lord knows I won’t be back no more
and I said if I had my way
I’d have left this town long ago. »

Something in the way

May 12, 2012

Underneath the bridge
My tarp has sprung a leak
And the animals I’ve trapped
Have all become my pets
And I’m living off of grass
And the drippings from my ceiling
It’s okay to eat fish
‘Cause they don’t have any feelings

Inneres auge

November 19, 2011

[…]

cadrà altra neve a consolare i campi
cadrà altra neve sui camposanti.

No time no space

November 19, 2011

Tell me of the existence
Of worlds and planets far away
Of past civilizations
Of continents gone adrift.
Talk to me about love
Tell me more about human love,
Of anomalous travelers
In magical, mystic territories.

Ahead we followed by instinct
Only the comets trail
As vanguards of another system
In search of the end.

No Time No Space
Another race of vibrations,
The sea of the simulation.
Keep your feelings in memory
I love you especially tonight.

Oh, life is bigger
It’s bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
The distance in your eyes
Oh no, I’ve said too much
I set it up

That’s me in the corner
That’s me in the spotlight, I’m
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don’t know if I can do it
Oh no, I’ve said too much
I haven’t said enough

I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try

Every whisper
Of every waking hour I’m
Choosing my confessions
Trying to keep an eye on you
Like a hurt lost and blinded fool
Oh no, I’ve said too much
I set it up

Consider this
The hint of the century
Consider this
The slip that brought me
To my knees failed
What if all these fantasies
Come flailing around
Now I’ve said too much

I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try

But that was just a dream
Just a dream

I have not been home since you left long ago
I’m thumbing my way back to heaven
Counting steps, walking backwards on the road
I’m counting my way back to heaven

I can’t be free with what’s locked inside of me
If there was a key, you took it in your hand
There’s no wrong or right, but I’m sure there’s good and bad
The questions linger overhead
No matter how cold the winter, there’s a springtime ahead
I’m thumbing my way back to heaven

I wish that I could hold you
I wish that I had
Thinking about heaven
I let go of a rope, thinking that’s what held me back
And in time I’ve realized, it’s now wrapped around my neck

I can’t see what’s next, from this lonely overpass
Hang my head and count my steps, as another car goes past
All the rusted signs we ignore throughout our lives
Choosing the shiny ones instead
I turned my back, now there’s no turning back

No matter how cold the winter, there’s a springtime ahead
I smile, but who am I kidding?
I’m just walking the miles, every once in a while I’ll get a ride
I’m thumbing my way back to heaven

You’re always saying that there’s something wrong
I’m starting to believe it’s your plan all along
Death came around, forced to hear its song
And know tomorrow can’t be depended on

Seen the home inside your head
All locked doors and unmade beds
Open sores unattended
Let me say just once that

I have faced it, a life wasted
I’m never going back again
I escaped it, a life wasted
I’m never going back again
Haven’t tasted, a life wasted
I’m never going back again

The world awaits just up the stairs
Leave the pain for someone else
Nothing back there for you to find
Or was it you you left behind?

You’re always saying you’re too weak to be strong
You’re harder on yourself than just about anyone
Why swim the channel just to get this far?
Halfway there, why would you turn around?

Darkness comes in waves…tell me,
Why invite it to stay?
You’re one with negativity
Yes, comfort is an energy
But why let the sad song play?

I have faced it, a life wasted
I’m never going back again
Oh I escaped it, a life wasted
I’m never going back again
Haven’t tasted, a life wasted
I’m never going back again
oh I erased it, a life wasted
I’m never going back again
